Dirty River Roller Derby goes Turku Pride!

Come & try roller derby! Dirty River Roller Derby is looking for new skaters, referees and non-skating officials. This event is free of charge and open for all genders. You must be at least 16 to attend but otherwise there is no age limit! There will be a short exhibition game and then you’ll get to try the skates and other gear yourself. You don’t need to know how to skate or have any background in sports to attend. Everyone is welcome!

Come and watch us play a home game in Turku for the first time in three years!

The seventh and last regular season tournament of the 2018 Roller Derby Suomi Cup will be played on May 26th 2018 at the brand new Kupittaan Palloiluhalli. Dirty River Roller Derby will play against Kouvola Roller Derby and Kallio Rolling Rainbow will play against Tampere Roller Derby. Great teams, amazing derby, cool people – you simply cannot miss this!

DRRD PROUDLY PRESENTS: Derby Festival at Kirjakahvila 18. and 19. November!

To bring some light to the darkness of early winter we are organizing a fantastic derby festival at Kirjakahvila. There will be all kinds of things to do! Come and find cool stuff from the flea-market, have a chat with us about derby or other things and maybe press a nice T-shirt for yourself. In addition there will be an interesting panel about gender and sports. The night ends in a derby-themed movie and legendary danceoke. Click yourself to the facebook event where you can find the more specific timetable. And take part in a raffle where you can win awesome DRRD shirts for you and a friend!

On Sunday there will be a vegan brunch of the tastiest kind. While you enjoy your food you can also enjoy the derby games being shown in the background. What’s better than that?

Have you heard about roller derby but never seen it played? Haven’t you ever heard of it, but something sparked your interest? Now’s your chance to see some action on the track, when swamp monsters and sea creatures on quad skates compete each other in Dirty River Roller Grrrls scrimmage on January 7th 2017!
The scrimmage is free of charge, voluntary admission fee. The doors are open at 13:30.
Accessibility: Unfortunately Samppalinna is not an accessible venue. Toilets: there will be gender-inclusive/unisex toilets.

Welcome to the fourth tournament of the Roller Derby Finnish Cup 2014! 

The games will be played in Varissuo ice hall, Turku. The first bout will be played between Kallio Rolling Rainbow and Kouvola Rock n Rollers. In the second bout of the day the organizing team of the event, Dirty River Roller Grrrls of Turku, will meet Tampere Roller derby.
