Dirty River Roller Derby Beginners course this autumn!

The course starts on Wednesday 3rd October and lasts until Mid-December. Beginners practice every Wednesday from 7 pm until 8.30 pm and on Sundays from 11 am until 1 pm. We practice at Ilpoisten palloiluhalli (Lauklähteenkatu 15, Turku). We’ll learn something new at every practice but also revise things that we have learned in previous sessions.

The beginners course costs 65 euros and you need to have your own gear to participate. We’ll be glad to help you out if you have any questions regarding buying the gear!

Dirty River Roller Derby is looking for new players, referees and officials!

Come & try roller derby! Roller Derby is the coolest sport in the world: it’s fast, intense and FUN! The open skate event is free of charge and open for all genders. You must be at least 16 to attend but otherwise there is no age limit. You’ll get to try the skates and other gear yourself and learn more about our league. You don’t need to know how to skate or have any background in sports to attend. Everyone is welcome!

New beginners course starts soon! Now’s the time to join us and get yourself a new, awesome hobby. Everyone who’s turned 16 is welcome regardless of gender or previous involvement with sports. We’re a colourful bunch!

• What? roller derby beginners course
• Where? Ilpoisten palloiluhalli (Lauklähteenkatu 15)
• When? beginning 4.10.2017 until mid-December
  • Wed: beginners’ practice 19:00-20:30
  • Fri: recreational practice 17:30-18:30
• Why? Fun, fast, and very cool

On the course you’ll need your own equipment (helmet, knee and elbow pads, wrist guards, mouth guard and quad skates). We’ll help you with finding the right kind of equipment the best we can. The course costs 60 euros. You’ll get more information after enrolling and if you have any questions now or in the future, you can send an e-mail to fresarit.drrg@gmail.com. The enrollment form below is in Finnish so feel free to ask help with it. 🙂
