What: Roller derby beginners’ practices
Schedule: Beginners practices start on Friday the 13th of February. The schedule is:
– on Fridays from 7.30 pm to 9 pm for the first four weeks
– on Fridays from 7.30 pm to 9 pm and on Sundays from 1.15pm to 4pm for the next four weeks.
The last practice is likely on Sunday the 5th of April.

Where: Ilpoisten palloiluhalli, Lauklähteenkatu 15, Turku
What do you need: Your own gear (we have also a limited amount of gear to lend out)
Age limit: 16 years
Cost: 85 € which includes a membership fee for the year 2026.

You don’t need any previous experience in roller skating or sports. We’ll start from the very basics and help you develop your skills at your own pace.

We want to provide everyone a safer and discrimination-free space to train, play, volunteer and enjoy the sport. We don’t approve discrimination based on a person’s gender, sexuality, age, ethnicity, neurotype, disability, body or any other part of their identity. You can join our try outs and beginner practices without any previous experience in sports. In our competing teams can participate everyone that is eligible to play under the global roller derby association WFTDA.All participants must agree to and behave according to our values.
